The season 3 premiere of Heroes will be, rather appropriately, super-sized. NBC will air a three-hour ''event'' on Sept. 15, consisting of a one-hour recap of the previous two seasons, followed by the two-hour season premiere. The third season may also be epic another way: there are rumors that there may be as many as 35 episodes on the schedule. It's likely that at least some of these eps were casualties of the writers' strike, which devastated the current season of the Peacock's sci-fi show: 24 episodes were ordered, but only 11 made it to air.

Ali Larter: According to Heroes insiders, Niki is not expected to return to the show. But her devilish alter ego, Jessica? Oh yeah, we'll see her as soon as the show comes back to the beloved airwaves—when the strike is through! At least, that's the plan according to sources who tell me producers had "done all they could do" with Niki. Micah is not gonna be happy. But at least he'll have Monica...

David Anders: I'd bet my beloved, signed Hiro poster that Hiro's sworn nemesis will return. (I've seen that '90s flick The Vanishing and know people can be dug up after being buried alive! Maybe we can even get Kiefer Sutherland to do the digging!) Sources tell me it's not set in stone, but the tentative plan is for Adam Monroe to be back to torment our favorite squinty teleporter—i.e., the "carp." Here's hoping he does.

Adrian Pasdar: I've heard the production and writing staff is somewhat split as to whether Nathan should return to the show. Allow me to be the first to say WTF? Heroes without the brothers would be like Prison Break or Brothers & Sisters without the brothers: a waste of time! Surely Claire's blood can save her own father, right?! Let's say a little prayer for the older Petrelli, shall we?

She said she is hoping to devote herself to her new role -- which includes acting as a spokeswoman for AIDS issues -- and is also looking for a possible role on the TV series "Heroes," broadcast by NBC, which has rights to the Miss Universe pageant.

"As soon as I won Miss Universe I had this big chance," Mori, who teaches jazz dance at her mother's studio in Shizuoka near Mount Fuji, said. "I've never acted before. I went to the casting audition and read a script in English and Japanese, and they said it was really good. So I hope I can be in the show."

According to TV Squad, Season 2 of NBC's Heroes will include a lesbian cheerleader named April. As AfterElton.com noted, it's good to see that despite de-gayed last year, Heroes is game to try again. We don't have additional info on who will play April the Gay Cheerleader (and the second season doesn't start shooting till mid-June), but we're always happy to speculate!

Our main director is in contact with them and trying to work things out. At this point it sounds like Hayden very likely will be there (we just have to wait for the details to be finalized, it sounds like). Also, although we haven't posted about it yet, Clea DuVall could be there as well.

If other huge TV hits have taught us anything, it's that great success begets huge ego clashes. So it should come as no surprise that on-screen tensions within one of Heroes' main couples have spilled over into real life. According to multiple unnamed sources who asked not to be identified for fear of having their brains devoured, the female half of this twosome cannot stand to be in the same room as her leading man, let alone make out with him. Coincidentally (or perhaps not), these two have shared only a handful of scenes together in recent weeks. Send me your guesses, and I promise I won't confirm it if you're correct! (I like my brain without teeth marks, too.)

Fanboys, prepare to piddle yourself. Christopher Eccleston ? the original Dr. Who from the current Sci Fi/BBC series ? is joining the cast in January in a really super (tee-hee) role. Speaking of cool casting, wait until you see who's ******* ****'s ****. You're going to flip.
