Q. So you're going to be a regular on "Heroes." That has to be a pretty hot gig.
A. Oh, it's crazy, man. It's a wonderful thing. I've been working out here for a while, so it's fun to get a break like this.
Q. Little is known about your role on the show. I don't suppose you can share a few details.
A. Well, I do have a power, and I am going to be working with Hayden's character on the show. Beyond that, I don't even know that much. I know what the power is, but I can't tell. I don't have a clue how my character's relationship with Claire is going to play out. There's something very mysterious clicking between those two people.
Q. Were you a big "Heroes" fan before you got cast?
A. No. I pretty much watch only Comedy Central shows. But I've been catching up on it since I got the part, and I think it's awesome. I'm a big sci-fi fan. I grew up with my buddies talking about "Lord of the Rings" and Stephen King books. We all dreamed about having superpowers. It's awesome for me to get into it now.
Q. How did you get the role?
A. I got an audition through my agent and manager. I auditioned on (June 13) for four or five guys in a room, did a few scenes. They had a few notes, and I worked with them. I left thinking I had nailed it. They hired me on (June 15), and I was filming the next Tuesday and Wednesday. So it was really fast, but it's been amazing.
