Panettiere on where we find Claire Bennett in Season 2:

"Well, it's four months from where we left off last season. Claire is really just trying to get in touch with her inner teen self once again. She hasn't given that up, and I think it'd be a sad thing if she did. She's struggling to fit in but not stand out and obviously they're still hiding and running from these people. And West - you know, I think the funny thing about Claire is that as much as she has that beautiful naivete about her and as sweet as she is, she does have that spitfire. She has that sass about her. And so it's fun to watch her . But I think when she meets West - I mean, you guys will see. It's a gradual meeting. It's teenage angst."

Hayden Panettiere on her character's father, Noah Bennett:

"Well, I think we all have proven that in this show, we all have our dirty little secrets. I think him becoming the house dad wouldn't be very exciting. People like watching good bad people and you sometimes want to hate Jack's character and you sometimes love him. And it's kind of a toss-up, depending on what side you're on. But how do I feel about that? I think it's exciting. I think it's exciting for him. I'm not sure if that's exactly what's going to happen, but as I said, everyone always has their dirty little secrets. But I'm excited to see what happens with everyone."

On wanting to play the bad guy:

"I think because I've always been very categorized and sometimes typecast because of the fact that I'm blonde, and people look at me as either the popular cheerleader type or just the blonde. You don't play villains unless you're Sharon Stone when you're blonde and you look like that. It would be - just exciting for me. People look at me as very - as sweet sometimes and I say, I would never in a million years describe myself as sweet, never. But I think it would be a blast. I think it's more fun to be bad. At least I have a chance - at least I could play and pretend to be bad on the screen."

On which special feature fans should check out first on the DVD:

"I would say it would depend if they've seen the show or not. If they haven't seen the show, I would say watch the pilot - the two-hour pilot. I would say watch that first. And then maybe the deleted scenes, 'cause I'm having fun watching the deleted scenes - but that's probably only because I know what was deleted and what wasn't. There's some great stuff - there's some goofy commentaries, like I'm talking goofy commentaries. I mean, I think I remember my commentary and I think they probably edited it, but everything on it is great. You know, I love DVDs and you get to go and look at the extras and find certain things"

Jack Coleman said that HRG is up to his old tricks in Season 2. How do you feel about that dynamic coming back?

Hayden Panettiere: I think we all have proven in this show we all have our dirty little secrets. Him going back... I think him becoming the house dad wouldn't be very exciting. The good dad, people like watching the good/bad people. You sometimes want to hate Jack's character and you sometimes want to love him. It's kind of a toss up depending on what side you're on. When Season 2 picks up, where is it in Claire's life that we find her? How do you meet your boyfriend West (Nick D'Agosto)?

Hayden Panettiere: Well of course, that's her ability, you know? I think the longer she has it and the farther it goes the less she's really conscious of it. The less she thinks about it. She notices when she can't do certain things, that's when it clicks in her head. Trust me, you will see plenty of blood, plenty of snaps and pops and crackles.

In between press interviews, Heroes cheerleader Hayden Panettiere was encouraged to eat — "force fed," she said, by her two TV "dads," Adrian Pasdar and Jack Coleman. "They've been like eat, eat!"

Question: Heroes resumes production this week, so it only seems fair that you give us some scoop.

Michael Ausiello: I caught up with Hayden Panettiere at Thursday’s Entourage premiere and she revealed that the first episode picks up four months after the finale. “A lot of things happened [during those four months] that people don’t know about,” she teased.

“A lot of things changed and people will be like, ‘Whoa!’”

"Heroes" cheerleader -- went off to make "Fireflies in the Garden" with Julia Roberts, Ryan Reynolds, Emily Watson, Ioan Gruffudd, Willem Dafoe and Carrie-Ann Moss after wrapping production of the NBC hit series this year. Taking on the film, about a family struggling to cope with a devastating tragedy, meant she had to table plans to make a feature with her younger brother, Jansen, this summer. Now he tells us it's on again.

Hayden Panettiere Moves from "Heroes" to Big Screen

"We were actually planning to do a project called 'Play Room,'" notes the 13-year-old Jansen, who stars in Nickelodeon's TV movie "The Last Day of Summer" airing July 20. "Now we're going to probably do it around next May."

Jansen -- who co-starred with Hayden in the 2004 Disney Channel Original Movie "Tiger Cruise" with Bill Pullman -- says "Play Room" is about "a dysfunctional family. We play brother and sister, and what they do is go up to the play room and tell stories to each other to try to get as far away from their life as they can."

In "The Last Day of Summer," Jansen plays tween-aged Luke Malloy, who's dreading going to middle school so much he wishes Labor Day would last forever -- and gets his wish. Now in the 10th grade in real life, Jansen says playing the part brought back his own fears of going to middle school. "I didn't get as scared as Luke, but I had butterflies and was a little nervous. Everyone tells you, 'Oh, it's horrible, you get so much work, you get teachers from the Black Lagoon …' I've already been through that, so I knew what it was like."
