Volume 2 "Generations" came to an end last night. Some people loved how it ended and others ... well not so much. You don't have to look any further than the forums to get a feel for that.
We learned that Sylar is "back" and that Adam is not exactly out of the picture, he's just "gone underground" so to speak. We also learned that the title of Volume 3 will be "Villains."
Tim Kring talked with Michael Logan over at TV Guide about what we can expect to see in the next Volume of 'Heroes'.
Quote: The fate of Nathan, who was shot during a TV press conference, and of Niki, who may have died in an abandoned building explosion, are "up in the air and will be determined when we come back after the strike," Kring says. "Things are fairly dire for them both." Immortal Adam was teleported by Hiro (Masi Oka) into a coffin buried in the same Japanese cemetery where his father Kaito (George Takei), who was slain by Adam, is also buried. "It's poetic justice to have Adam end up in the same graveyard as Kaito," Kring notes. "We've given the audience no reason to believe that Adam can figure a way to get out of there. The fact that he can live forever makes this the most gruesome of internments. If this happened to any of us, at least we'd know we'd soon have the mercy of death. Not here."
Quote: "We've introduced a cadre of them over the course of the show and we're going to see them rise up," Kring says. "Just as the heroes have found each other to save the world, the villains will do the same with the opposite intent." And their numbers may be legion. "The Company has catalogued many of these people over the years. There may be more of them down in that basement than we have alluded to so far."
Quote: "Sylar getting his power back does not bode well for our heroes," says Kring, who admits there is one upside to the writers' strike: Originally, Quinto was not going to be available for much of Volume 3 because of his commitment to the new Star Trek film. Now, with the strike dragging on, he'll likely be done playing young Spock by the time Heroes returns to production.

Last season Hiro spent six months with Charlie before Sylar killed her. We only got glimpses into what happened during that time period. We know that they fell in love and that Hiro could not stop Sylar in the end.
This book claims to tell the full story of what happened during those six months. It was written in cooperation with the show's creators. 'Heroes' writer Jeff Loeb is even credited on the title page.

Apparently some people have interpreted the latest 'Heroes' T.V. promos as trumpeting the end of the series. Fans around the globe can rest at ease as tonight marks the end of season two, not the end of the series.
Quote: Matt Roush: Lots of confusion on this topic. (Thanks, NBC, for trumpeting such misleading promos.) Tonight's episode is absolutely not the series finale — Heroes is going to run for years, trust me — and everyone's hoping it won't be the season finale, either. The situation is that this episode is the "finale" of the current virus-threat arc, or at least that's how it's being billed, and this is the last completed episode before the strike shut down production. When the strike is over — let's all hope it's soon — filming will resume for the back half of the season. There may be more of a gap between episodes than the show or the network would have preferred, but unless the strike drags on indefinitely, there will be more Heroes before the season is over. How many or when, no one can say just yet. Same goes for all of the other established series worried fans keep asking about. As for my thoughts on Season 2 to date: I thought it started off as bad or worse than the beginning of Season 1, embracing clutter over clarity. But just like in Season 1, it eventually kicked into high gear, and from around the time when Matt's "nightmare man" father was introduced, along with Kristen Bell's feisty Elle, the show has been a lot more entertaining. I'll miss it.

Quote: UNIVERSAL CITY and LOS GATOS, Calif., Nov. 29 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Netflix, Inc. , the world's largest online movie rental service, and NBC Universal Domestic Television Distribution today announced an agreement through which current episodes of the network's top-rated prime time series, "Heroes," can be watched online by Netflix subscribers the day after their network airings.
The deal follows NBC Universal's announcement with G4 and Mojo as the off-network cable homes for "Heroes" and makes Netflix the exclusive SVOD outlet for the series and the third arm of the studio's syndication deal.
In addition, Netflix also offers prior season episodes of other popular NBC series including "30 Rock," "Friday Night Lights" and "The Office." For these shows, Netflix subscribers will have the option of enjoying them on DVD or watching them instantly on their PCs at Netflix.com.
"We are pleased to expand our relationship with NBC Universal Domestic Television Distribution and be part of their innovative distribution strategy," said Robert Kyncl, Vice President of Content Acquisition for Netflix. "We have a shared interest in granting fans expanded access to and strengthening the network's key franchises."

 This according to TVGuide:
Quote: Heroes' second season may be coming to a close a lot sooner than expected due to the forthcoming apocalypse, also known in some circles as the damn writers' strike.
Sources confirm that the show is going back and shooting an alternate ending to the Dec. 3 episode that, if used, would allow the episode to function as a season finale in the event of a strike. Originally, the episode was only supposed to serve as the conclusion of the current "Generations" arc. Should an 11th-hour agreement be reached and a strike averted (fingers crossed!), the alt ending would likely be scrapped.

You can't (legally) watch 'Heroes' on YouTube, but NBC's own version of a video sharing / distribution network is one step closer to going live.
Quote: Jason Kilar CEO, Hulu commented “We’ve been hard at work on a service that offers a great selection of television shows, clips, feature films and more that you can enjoy for free and on-demand.
Starting today, we are sending out invitations which will allow users to access the private beta at Hulu.com. If you haven’t signed up, you can do so by visiting Hulu.com. As well, this week we’ll start serving Hulu’s content lineup to our distribution partner websites, which include AOL, Comcast, MSN, MySpace and Yahoo.
The team here is excited to gather real user feedback. We’ve made it easy to leave comments and suggestions through a feedback form which can be found next to each video that is played on the site. We’re committed to making the service great, which means that we’ll be reading every piece of feedback and working hard to improve the service each day. You should expect to see us adding more content and more functionality throughout the private beta period and beyond.
On behalf of the Hulu team, thank you for giving us the chance to present this service to you. To a person, this team is extremely passionate about fulfilling what we see as a big consumer need: to enable people to find and enjoy premium content when, where and how they want it. Great content needs to be that easy.”

Quote: There’s nothing wrong with “Heroes” that a massacre couldn’t fix.
It’s time for TV’s scariest serial killer, Sylar (Zachary Quinto), to get his mojo back and start slicing some heads.
Some mercy killings might get the NBC series (tonight at 9 on WHDH, Ch. 7) back on track.
No matter how you cut it, the highest-rated freshman drama of last season is in trouble.
Just a month ago, the “Heroes” premiere finished at No. 10 in the overall ratings, according to Nielsen Media Research.
Since then, millions of viewers have deserted the show. In the most recent Nielsen report, “Heroes” landed at No. 30.
