I am a little late with writing these but with the holidays, I applogize.
The last three graphic novels have been quite interesting.
Chapter 63 and chapter 64 in particular. Ever since I first read about Elle giving Sylar the shock of his life, in a spoiler, I started to look at Elle with big smile on my face. True the ending was changed somewhat. Elle didn't kill Sylar. And I really doubted that he would die, but perhaps that his "death" would be the reason why we wouldn't see Sylar through most of Volume 3 only for him to show up toward the end after using Candice's power through most of the volume. (My guess.)
In Chapters 63 and 64, Bob gives Elle her first assignment. Though, she has always fanatises about saving the world from the "Sylars" of the world. I fully feel that she thought she was protecting the world when Peter was kept off the streets and place in that prison, though how Bob was acting in the graphic novels. I wonder, I have this curiousity, this inkling that perhaps Bob is jealousity. See I don't think Bob knew what Claire's power was, not until Thompson saw it in Company Man. Though, he had a hunch, since I am sure he did know who she was, that she was the daughter of Nathan Petrelli. Bob wanted control of the company. That is why in my opinion he told his daughter, "She has the potiential to be the next Linderman, the next Arthur Petrelli.
Noah didn't like Elle spying on Claire, and Eden, who sometimes I feel he also cared for as a daughter, helped and eletrocuted her in the fountain. I partly covered this in a perviously entry, Noah's violence toward Elle, who, even though she is 24 years old, mentally is a child or teen in her mid-teens, bothers me.
Though, Noah did save Elle from Zach. Which was good, and then the Haitian made that little visit all go away...
Chapter 65....Normal Lives.
Of course just like the Volume 1 chapter 7, "Nothing to Hide", this title is a joke of irony. Even though the Bennets are trying to move on, Noah still has his head in the past. Not that it surprises me, but then there is him listening about a murder. A murder he suspects is from a olden days. From a specail named Marcus. And how does Noah react? Since Sandra has his gun locked he takes a bat... He took justice into his own hands and kills someone for the company! He calls up Bob to tell him what he did. And Bob askes him to come back where Noah refuses. But he what?! That is disturbing! Between shooting Ivan in cold blood to save Claire, but leaving fingers prints, shooting Elle in front of Mohinder while he preaches how he is on the good side of moral gray, and then the fact that I am almost sure he shot Nathan....
I predict a scary turn of moral gray in Volume 3. |

I watched the Uncut pilot and it was great. But, I think I do like the aired cut better.
*Spoilers for those that have not seen the unaired pilot.*

 Quote: So. Freaking. Good.
That's all I can say after last night's Heroes, which reminded me, after a far too long hiatus, why we love this show so much. Stuff happens. Big stuff. In every single episode. And last night was no exception, so let's assess...
What We Learned
Peter Is Invincible! You didn't really think Milo Ventimiglia was being killed off the show, didya? Still, the way in which he came back—being saved by the lovely lady we thought might be his future love interest but turned out to be his niece, Claire—was fuzzy-bunny-feel-good, was it not?
Isaac...Not So Much: Poor Santiago Cabrera has known for ages he was being written off the show, but let me tell you, while Tawny Cypress admitted she "cried and cried and cried" (awww, pookie!), Santiago took the news like a champ. When asked about the "next death" (his own) at the season-wrap party, Santiago told me: "It is sad, it kind of in a way breaks up the little family that you had. On the other hand, it's always been the case that this could happen. Most of the time, it’s understandable [when they write someone off the show]. The person’s time has come. Everything is just done for a reason. Anything that will make the story better or more exciting. You just have to accept it." Well, Santiago, I, for one, will miss the show's resident sexy Latino Hero! And also those kickass paintings...(More on that below.)
What Lies Ahead (Spoiler Alert!)
Sylar's Gonna Make Some "Drawerings": And I use the pronunciation from Mike Myers' character on Saturday Night Live (you do remember cheeky monkey Simon in the bathtub, don't you?) because that's exactly how the paintings of the future are gonna look from now on. Like a five-year-old drew them. As I've been hinting at for a while now, the power of the Hero who dies—whom we now know to be Isaac—will live on in Sylar. "I've been doing mostly stick figures lately," Tim Sale tells me, referring to Sylar's latest hobby. And since Sylar is the only one who can now paint the future, well, they can't very well kill him off, can they? Can they? Discuss below.
Sulu Is Back! Hiro's dad will return and teach him how to use the sword. There is much more to Hiro's father than meets the eye!
Linderman Can Do Good: And he might just do good by Nathan's wife (Rena Sofer). And I am not talking about an indecent proposal, you dirty-birdy brains.
So...what did you all think of the episode? Got theories? Gripes? Raves? Comment away below!

The Toronto Star ran an article a few days ago criticizing the tendency of serial dramas like Lost and Heroes to focus on the "everyone's connected" theme. Given the size of the planet, the fact that our Heroes keep bumping into each other without realizing the significance of the interaction is a little... forced.
Quote: At least with Heroes, the linking point right now is mutant DNA, which has some logic, but that doesn't explain why half the characters revolve around each other, while most new characters with powers that are introduced are the equivalents to the red shirts on Star Trek – basically fodder to be killed. This one focuses on last night's episode. There are some serious spoilers if you haven't watched "Company Man" yet.
Quote: For much of this season, I've been torn between my belief that H.R.G. was a bad man and the possibility that he genuinely loved his family. And it's been pretty much confirmed that, true to life's complexities, he's fully both. http://www.ew.com/ew/article/0,,20013519,00.html |

A chatty little review of Monday's episode. Entertaining enough to read.
Quote: As much as I dread trying to digest and dissect television after 10 p.m. — mostly I prefer to drift off to sleep and see how many of the characters work their way into my dreams — at least I picked a good week to borrow the Heroes TV watch from Señor Cruz. For one thing, this episode featured people actually using their abilities. Don't get me wrong, I dig the show. But there is so much inert superheroism, I often feel like I'm watching a weekly version of Unbreakable

A number of years ago, when it first came out, I started to read Robert Jordan?s Wheel of Time. I finished book seven and realized I had ploughed through 700 pages (or so) in which NOTHING HAPPENED. I never bought book eight. I didn?t feel like sacrificing that much of my time to something that wasn?t going anywhere. I don?t know what Mr. Jordan is up to now, but I don?t believe he?s finished the series yet.

The Once and Future Lawyer has his weekly Heroes episode review posted. This is always an interesting read as he seems to not want to like the show, but keeps coming back each week anyway.
Quote: The struggle between Niki and Ikin continues, and it appears Ikin can come and go as she wants. I'm still not impressed with her character and it's storyline but maybe she's an integral character to the long-term plot. Good to see the cop who can hear thoughts is using them to advance his relationships; according to a recent study, this use of power is at least realistic. Now all he has to do is learn to control it; at least Mel Gibson's power was limited to women's thoughts.

The opening scene is a grabber. Peter clearly doesn?t know what?s going on and he manages to convey edge-of-freak-out nervousness pretty well. Masi?s fun to watch as present-Hiro, but his portrayal of a serious and dangerously competent-looking future-Hiro really impressed me.
Why can?t people from the future speak plainly? Why do they always have to talk in riddles? Does time travel do something to your brain?
Peter?s my favorite character. He?s a little too wimpy, but he?s got this earnestness and need to believe that he can be more than he is that really appeals to me.
