Heroes News : Fate of 'Heroes' Season Three

Posted by HeroesFan on 2008/2/12 11:41:51 (3636 reads)
Heroes News

Sad news for us die-hard 'Heroes' fans, but it seems that Season Two is official in the can. It seems that the rumors which were circulating for a few weeks about a possible return after the writer's strike were just that ... rumors.

Quote:

According to various sources such as Kristin Dos Santos from E!, Ain't It Cool News and Michael Ausiello, it is more than likely that we will get no new episodes of NBC's Heroes this spring. Even if most series will return this spring with a few new episodes, it looks like NBC decided to have the cast and crew start shooting Season 3 instead of offering fans a few more episodes for the second season.

The series' last new episode ended with a few bangs (literally) on December 4, 2007. As my colleague Rich reported in early November, this episode was written in a way that would not only conclude the current "Generations" arc but also offer a cliffhanger ending that would allow it to become a potential season finale. There were even reports that various endings were shot and that the state of the strike at the time of airing would dictate which ending to choose.

Heroes News : After the WGA Strike News...

Heroes News

Here is a link to a TV Guide article about the strike.

TBD is not no, but then again it is not yes either.

Could they run into June like TV Guide? The February 10, 2008 issue was teasing about some shows as "Good will" to the audience?

Five or six episodes would be decent. Not the best, but please? LOL.

I remember reading something earlier about this season having three smaller volumes. So depending on the storyline, six episodes might work. That being the key word of course.

Still since we haven't had an episode since December. Personally I would rather have a half arch and then a three month break of "To Be Continued" then tenth months of nothing. But hey that is just my opinion...

Hayden Panettiere : Hayden to Star in "Daydream Nation"

Hayden Panettiere

"Daydream Nation" is a teenage comedy that will be directed by Michael Goldbach.

The producers are calling the film an intellectual comedy in the same vein as "Juno" and "Election."

Hayden's character is said to be a bitter teen whom her boyfriend (played by Kieran Culkin) is oblivious.

Filming is scheduled to begin in the second or third quarter of this year depending on Hayden's work schedule on 'Heroes'.

Hiro, Claire, Peter, Sylar, & Mohinder stopped into NBC ’s famous offices at 30 Rock today when Mezco toys delivered the prototypes for the new Heroes action figures which are scheduled to be in stores in mid June. Generally, prototypes are never seen by the general public, but because of the overwhelming interest in the Heroes action figure line, NBC will be adding the prototypes of the Heroes figures to their popular studio tour.

Cast & Crew : Jamie Hector Joining Cast of 'Heroes'

Posted by HeroesFan on 2008/1/29 19:30:00 (2050 reads)

TVJab.com has reported that Jamie Hector (HBO's The Wire) will be joining the cast of 'Heroes' for season 3.

As usual, no word on who Jamie's character might be. Though with the writer's strike going on, I guess it is safe to assume that nothing is 'written' in stone yet.

Greg Grunberg : Greg Grunberg In 'Star Trek XI' ? He's Not Telling.

Posted by HeroesFan on 2008/1/28 13:53:53 (757 reads)
Greg Grunberg

Greg Grunberg is friends with J.J. Abrams, who is the director for the upcoming "Star Trek XI." Abrams is known for casting actors whom he is familiar with in his projects.

There has been speculation that Grunberg might be appearing in the upcoming movie, but when asked about it this past Saturday he had this to say:

Quote:

"Why would you be asking me," Grunberg joked with the crowd attending FX Show in Orlando Saturday. "Every time I answer this question, I get into so much trouble. I answer it as vaguely as I can, but I still get that call from Paramount."

...

"You will see some of the actors that J.J. likes to work with in the movie," Grunberg said. "I'm not talking about me in particular, but you will see some great cameos. You'll never know who the people are, but they are all fans of the [Star Trek] shows, fans of the movies, and called up J.J. asking to be in the movie. "They were monster celebrities from all over, and he's put them all in disguises and put them into his movie."

The Buzz : When Will 'Heroes' Season 3 Start?

Posted by HeroesFan on 2008/1/14 23:10:00 (22483 reads)
The Buzz

Lately our e-mail inbox has been flooded with people asking the same question. "When will Heroes season 3 start?" The best answer we have at this point in time is, "Sometime later this year."

The original plan as spelled out by NBC and the creators was that Volume 3 would actually take place during the second half of Season 2. The writers strike killed that idea though. Since the writers strike is still on going, it is impossible to say when season 3 will actually start. Though a good estimate (assuming the strike ends and everyone gets back to work) would be that 'Heroes' season 3 would begin in late September or there abouts.

If you are saying "hey wait a minute, you didn't answer the question at all!" You would be right. But it is all we have for now.
