On The Web : Serialized Dramas ... A Bad Thing?

On The Web

Richard Keller over at tvsquad has posted an article explaining why he feels that the majority of new serialized dramas on tv this season will fail. Pointing out that the new hot genre is the serialized drama and naming 'Heroes' by name, Keller makes his arguments for the failure of most of the new series.

After reading his article it is clear that Keller's main argument is that a serialized drama like Lost or Heroes requires acute attention from the audience. Keller goes on to explain that the audience simply does not have the time nor the brain power to keep up with the extensive plot lines and season long mysteries.

I suppose in Richard Keller's opinion the viewing audience is only intellectual enough to handle watching half hour sitcoms that don't require any type of thinking or commitment. What do you think?

Well, I feel quite offended.

Oh well.
We can prove Richard wrong, as HEROES has done a superb job this season. It has won a lot of attention from the audience, and is doing absolutely AMAZING.

Good thing it didn't go downhill like Richard said it might.

Go HEROES!
