'general public' I guess does NOT include the toy collecting community? I've seen numerous prototypes over the years, from those pictured above, to finished samples to mere poster art (like s2-3 from UK Toy Fair I linked). Heck, we've even gotten a few protos to be shown at cons because of collector demand in the Marvel Legends line. We still won't see them made, but knowing that they are out there and that there is some demand for them gives the toy companies an idea of how to proceed with certain lines. oh, and US Toy Fair is Valentine's weekend, so keep your eyes and ears peeled for more news!  |
