So, I cannot guarantees that this version is as good as the lost version I typed up last night, but you use what you can, right? I actually wrote this in a document first as a few people have suggested since the first draft go lost at the slip of a finger.
I hope you enjoy my words of geekdom, even with its heavy dose of WingsStef bias.

I was tears. Well, I was as I watched Volume 1: Chapter 23: "How to Stop an Exploding Man". Probably among the most depressing things I ever watched, and a great underrated episode compared to what some critics have been saying.
Sure there wasn't that big Peter and Sylar fight people were waiting for, but I don't think that was the point. Peter and Sylar did have a taste, and I am sure they will have their battles. It was the end of a volume, not an end of a series.
Like Charles said, "In the end, all that matters is love."
Did Peter regain his ability of flight after he blew up?
How did Nathan survive?
Well, as I envisioned, Peter told Nathan to let go.
And now after months in the real world, we get the answers we sought. What happened to Nathan and Peter when they flew into the sky?
Peter looks at the picture. The picture he took out when Adam said, "Think of what matters to you the most."
Peter looks at the picture and points to the man next to him.
"His name is Nathan."
"Nathan...Nathan!"
And the flashback begins.
"Let me go. You can fly. I can't..."
"What do you mean?"
"I will be fine. I will use all my power not to explode. Let me go!"
"If you go, I go." ~ Nathan
Aww, Nathan. He loves his brother so much.
But Peter wouldn't let Nathan do that, and pushed him away. Still, as Peter started to blow up, instead of using his supersonic abilities to fly away, he stood in mid-air, in paralyzing fear as he watched his little brother explode.
"Peter!"
The shockwaves were unforgiving and burned Nathan and started to fall. Peter then flew with all his might.
With a painful tear ridden face Peter caught Nathan and brought him to safety. He ran as fast as his feet could take him and brought him into an Emergency Room. He used invisibility to escape a police officer but as he rematerialized Elle shocked him. Crazy !@#%.
Angela arrived at the hospital, horrified, at her son's condition. Nathan woke up and made eye contact with his mother, but his first and only word, was "Peter?"
"He's missing Nathan. He is Missing."
Angela continues about a coast guard, but seriously no one saw Peter in the emergency room? I am thinking Angela had a fairly good idea where Peter really was. The reason she kept Peter in the dark all these years, the reason she tried to send Claire to Paris. The company had him.
And when she angrily shouted to Nathan in Four Months Later that he killed his brother, she didn't mean by letting him blow up. She meant by not letting him destroy that certain part of New York, perhaps the company?
Poor Nathan. Angela tried to stop him from seeing his disfigured face but of course she wasn't going to be able to do that!
Back at Company Office in New York. Peter wakes up on a sofa, with Elle waiting to shock him again.
"Who are you?"
"I am an old friend of your parents."
"Yeah, I seen you before."
Nathan recognized him as Bob, and Peter saw him before. There is a bit of an age range between the two brothers, so I wondered if Peter just did some sneaking around. LOL
"I was in a Hospital. My brother?"
And this is when Bob, Elle, and later Adam, all repeatedly remind Peter about what he did.
"He's alive but his condition is dire."
"Because of you Peter."
"Even after all you put him through."
So, hmm...with wording like that, I cannot say any of them have Peter's interests in mind.
Sure Adam healed Nathan. And that was generous and very nice thing to do, but did he do it just to be sweet, or just as a momentary bargaining chip? Hmm?
Now sure there might be some good in him, as Hiro told Yaeko. Does this mean he will die as a hero as Anakin Skywalker did?
And I can't wait until Hiro starts acting like Inigo Montoya... LOL
Sweet Allusions.
Poor Peter, he was brainwashed to believe that the company was offering him rehab instead of a prison. But like Adam said, did it even look like Rehab? Gee Peter. Think! LOL
Peter is so trusting especially when he is depressed about almost killing his brother.
I wonder how many more unfavorable specials are at that "Rehab Prison"?
And what about the one in Texas?
The Sanders and Hawkins....
Well, DL survived Linderman's bullet to get shot by some club punk. How fitting. Poor dude, but at least he got to be a hero first, using his phasing abilities to save people as a fireman, earning himself the medal of valor.
Yeah it does seem that the Heroes were safer with Linderman. He knew about Peter and was able to keep the company away from him for a time.
When are we going to find out the real reason the company broke up? I have my ideas.
I think it has to do with the legacy and what it means for their children. I am thinking some members didn't like that idea. Are we going to find out in this shorten volume?
Poor Niki. She was offered the same drugs Peter was offered but was allowed to take them offsite. Well, I guess absorbing powers is a bit more dangerous then beating people up, but still...
All the stress though, and the severity of the side effects caused another alter to emerge. This one an immature, club loving younger persona named Gina.
"Going to LA! C-Ya!"
Jessica was probably better. LOL, and I do think that was Jessica throwing Mohinder a few weeks ago. Jessica is the controlling protective alter, where as Gina was the one that needed to escape the stress. It makes sense.
Well, after a couple months of talking to Adam, and some messed up electric foreplay with Elle, Peter decides to try to get out of the prison to find out Adam was right. So he stops taking the pills and using DL's powers to escape with Adam to save Nathan.
Adam's blood works fast and to Peter's amazement, Nathan's skin heals before his eyes. Adam warns that the Company will know he went to see his brother so they have to leave quick, but before they do, Peter grabs a picture of him and Nathan that is on display nearby.
Adam was right of course, and Elle, and the Haitian are on hot on their trial. Elle sets Peter's coat on fire but sends the Haitian after Peter as she pursuits Adam.
The Haitian is able to capture Peter, by hooking him up to a box, the box. Peter promises to continue to escape. But the Haitian tells him that he will not send him back, that he deserves a better fate. His mother helped him, so he will help him. The Haitian gives Peter his necklace and erases Peter's memory and then closes the box on a very disoriented Peter.
What did Angela do?
Angela told Heidi that Nathan tried to kill himself. Heh. Yet another reason that I think something else happened about a year ago when Arthur ended up dead. Are we ever going to find out about? And what is Angela's power? LOL
Some people say it is persuasion but I don't know about that. Maybe. Heidi had this look like, "My mother-in-law is nuts." More than just taking her faith. I still think she has some time of precognition. I mean she seemed to know that Linderman was dead pretty fast as well. And where did Peter get that dream power that made him see Nathan's accident?
Nathan wakes up the next day and meets glance with Angela once again. This was three weeks ago. Nathan surely grew that beard fast, but I guess that is possible. And it seems that Heidi took off fairly recently. I do not believe they are divorced, she must have just have taken off from Nathan because he probably ranted about killing his brother, got drunk in the two weeks or so he was home, and well, probably is really wondering how Nathan got healed that fast....
I wonder is she second guessing how she got cured that fast?
Yet more questions.
And as the episode ends...
Peter tells Adam that he remembers everything.
And Sylar is drooling over his new toy.
And Elle is upset that she lost hers.
Is the fact that she is so sheltered why she is the way she is? Would make sense? Is her fate the reason, some former company members wanted to get away? Get their children away?
Will Maya and Alejandro have a role in the events to come? One would have to assume yes? Could her tears be the answer? Or the way Alejandro can heal them?
And the Company is after Claire.
And Nathan is in Ireland while Peter is now in Canada.
Is Nathan how the virus spreads to Europe? Does Nathan already have it? Will Stef start to cry?
Ready to save the world?
