Fight or Flight and Molly's Dream

First up...sweet episode...

Mohinder's commentary. I just hope he will be okay to do some more. Both Bob and HRG have promised his safety, but with Noah dead in a painting and Bob being from the Company it is worrisome.

Molly caught in a nightmare. After viewing chapter 56 of the graphic novel, let's say it is scary stuff. Matt is shot in four places thought it look like it is by glass, Mohinder is pinned to the ceiling like he was in Parasite and then bed turns into a cockroach. The cockroach takes her out the window where she meets up with Sylar.

"You are dead."

Nope he isn't. The Boogie Man is not dead; he is in Mexico.

"Your are not the Boogie Man."

Nope. It is a dream brought on by the Nightmare Man, Maury Parkman. Does Matt's father cause the nightmare's from his imagination or does he take the fears from his victim and the throw it back at them? And if this is true, how did Molly know about Mohinder being pinned ceiling? I doubt Mohinder would have told her since he is so protective. He even decides to tell Bob about Molly even though Noah warns him not too.

Is it instead possible that Maury the Nightmare Man was able to take the fears of all three persons in the room? In this case Mohinder, Matt and Molly and throw it back at her? Molly has said that when she thinks of the man "worse than the Boogie Man" he can see her. Could it be possible that this Nightmare Man can actually borrow or take form his victims? He was able to see Molly because she was able to see him. He claimed he could read minds like Matt because he grabbed the power from Matt. What is Kaito's power anyway? Perhaps that us was able to just get away? Or was there still another partner in this mess because Hoodie didn't look like Maury Parkman. Of course I might be totally off and what I said just made not make any sense.

Matt goes to see Angela again for answers before heading to Philadelphia. But runs into Nathan, who insists on coming with Matt.

Monica finds out with Micah that she can copy moves.

Between Peter, Sylar, Monica and my "shaky" theory on Nightmare Man this is truly the Volume of similar powers. Do Claire and Kensei have the same power or is on a regenerationist and the other a British dude that lives forever?

Peter in Ireland. Elle the Hero Bounty Killer. Talks to Punky Will about Peter. Sure she can protect herself. Heh I am sure though, that she will have a rude awakening sometime in the future.

Anyway Peter and Caitlyn kissy kissy. Caitlyn tells Peter he is a good person and that to open the dang box already. They kissy kissy some more. Yeah, Peter is dangerous according to the Company, but like Charles said. He is the one that is good. Yes, he has an unstable ability but what the heck was the logic behind allowing Miss Betty Candice Michelle save Sylar's murderous bum? I mean seriously?

*nod* *nod* *nods* Oh I know... Control. But oy!

Aww Nathan, all overprotective like a good son. How dare Matt question his mother without him there. Well she didn't say anything. Nathan's not surprised. Neither is Matt. Again Nathan says that Angela is innocent. Matt agrees. But he needs to see his father; he did something to Molly. Nathan wants to come. Matt says he isn't a cop. Nathan can take care of himself.

Hmm... Didn't Elle just say that?

Matt says, "Fine, we'll probably can get there faster because you can..."

"I'm not a cargo jet Parkman."

Good one Nathan.

Ricky, poor, poor doomed Ricky. He tells Peter that some blonde chick is after him and tells him to hide with Caitlyn and he will take of it. He but who will take care of poor Ricky when Elle turns him into burnt toast? But aww, the little smile Peter makes when Rick promises to protect him and to not worry Caitlin... It reminds me just a little of a Nathan and Peter in "Six Months Ago" when Nathan makes fun of Peter for deciding to be a Hospice Nurse and then Heidi defends him.

Monica and Camille: This volume's Niki and Tina. Not sure what I think of Camille yet. But I think I like Monica.. Actually I know I do. She can copy kicks and decides to knock it up a level when she channels Bruce Lee. Even copies Micah when he plays the piano. Nice touch including the actor's real life talents. Micah lets Monica know that she isn't alone. He has an ability and so did DL. It runs in the family.

"Don't even get me started with my mom." ~ Micah adds.

Speaking of Niki...oy looks like Jessica is back. She is working with the Company. The company is shady, I worry for her. I worry for Mohinder and Molly because the Company has her now. But is Bob really that bad? Only time shall tell. But is he trustworthy?

Hmm Hmm...

Nathan and Matt at Door 9...

Matt hasn't seen his father in 25 years since he was 13. Don't know what to say to him. Hesitant to knock. Nathan knocks for him. He wants answers. This man scared Molly, and scared his mother.

"You're welcome." ~ Nathan

"He's not your father today...Get your gun out."

So Matt and Nathan break down the door. Nathan blows Matt's cover. But in my opinion it is mor because Matt is stalling. Maury tries to have a Kodak Moment but Matt is not having it. Nathan wants to know why Angela is protecting him.

"Which one are you the politician?"

Nathan asks why Maury has a shot gun. Maury refers to a picture with the symbol on it. I think it was planted by him to make him appear innocent. He isn't. Especially based on the nightmare he projects on Matt and Nathan. He begins the same tale that Linderman told Nathan in ".07%" about finding each other and thinking they can save the world.

Golly, I cannot wait until the reason they all split up is finally revealed in a few weeks.

Matt wants to know what Daddy did to Molly. Maury says he was protecting himself and will not reverse what he done. Maury has always just wanted to save his own ass according to Matt.

"Still angry?" Maury quips.

Well duh...and well deserved it seems.

Nathan tells Matt just to read his mind.

Maury laughs and snaps on an evil smirk. "Go ahead."

This dare starts a chain of events that brings Matt and Nathan into their own personal hell.

Maury says, "You are just like me."

Interesting since this would be the first time a child would inherit the same powers. A fact that makes the situation just a little curious. I really do wonder if my earlier suggestion is correct. Can Maury not only use a victims own fears and send then back at him or her but can he use their power against them? Is the Nightmare Man's power not as cut and dry?

When Matt does try to read Maury's mind he gets feedback similar to what happened with Peter in "Fallout". Maury tells Matt that he will tell him all he knows once he is out of the cuffs. How quaint! Due to dramatic irony however, of course Matt agrees. Maury tells Matt he used be a real scrum bag. Well if the shoe fits and if such a phrase prevents the censor fairy...

Matt follows Maury down the rabbit hole and enters Nightmare land. Nathan breaks down a door and enters too. Matt enters a world where he is in a jail. He sees Janice. She claims he abandoned their son just like Maury did to him. Yes, she said the child was Tom's but he can read minds, saw the truth, and abandoned them anyway. Is there a doubt in Matt's mind? Could he have read Janice's mind and didn't? I still think "Five Years Gone" hinted that the baby had the genetic marker.

Nathan ends up on the Deveraux roof. Its blown up.

"This is not possible. We saved the city."

A smug Maury leaves the apartment while Matt and Nathan are left to their fears.

Nathan hears Peter's voice and is overjoyed but when he turns around, instead of Peter, he sees his scarred self. Poor Nathan. He can't understand why he survived and Peter didn't. Scarred Nathan tells Nathan that everyone is dead because of him.

"You don't want redemption. You want ignorance."

Ignorance is bliss right? That was Nathan's problem last season. He didn't want to believe and now it just hurts too much. Could he have done more? Will drinking make him numb? Will being numb equal no pain? Pain tells you something is wrong so something can be fixed. Numbness heals nothing. Poor Nathan but it seems that he is finally starting to realize this truth.

The audience starts to see that Matt and Nathan are actually fighting each other. Matt realizes this too when he tries to read the cop in his dream. The dream is now lucid! Now that he is aware of the dream, he tries to wake up Nathan. What is unclear is did Matt project a thought into Nathan's mind or did he just wake Nathan up? Either way...wow!

Yup. This is definitely why Molly calls "Daddy" the Nightmare Man.

Oh Nathan finds a picture of Bob. He's next....

Should I be worried that Nathan found the picture? Hmm...

Hee he...And now the comedy relief...

I loved this scene.

"Ando? It is a common name."

"Are you Marty McFly?"

"Yeah..."

"I have a letter for you..."

"A letter for me? That's impossible. Who the hell are you?"

"Western Union."

Heh. I love "Back to the Future."

Back to Heroes...Poor Hiro in a love triangle. Will he mess up time? I vote yes. And what a cliffhanger. How typical. Leaving an important suspensive scene in mid-sentence.

Will Hiro survive? Tune in next time my friends. Same Bat Time. Same Bat Channel.

After sending Molly to the Company for help, running into Jessica, and then Nikki, who refuses his help, Mohinder shows up at Monica's door offering answers. Will Micah show up next week to ease Monica's mind and/or to say hello?

*sigh* The same type of taser that tired to get Peter and Claude in "Unexpected". Where is that dude anyway? And the look on Mohinder's face! What a mess Noah got him into. Noah worries me in the previews but that is for next week. I can't wait to see what he and the Haitian are up to in Odessa, Urkaine. LOL, Odessa again, that just cracked me up.

Jessica kinda just pushed Mohinder out of the way, I don't think she means him harm, but Bob...hee hee she is angry with him. Seems someone is not happy with how Niki is being treated.

Peter finally opens the box. There is a ticket to Montreal, and a passport. Peter's birthday is December 23. Oy...Christmas was extra sucky at the Petrelli Mansion. There is a picture of Nathan but still no memories. But Peter does an Isaac and paints a picture with French street signs. I sense French subtitles in the future. And oh a new mystery which after poor Caitlyn finds out about poor Ricky, her and Peter have a new mission.

Seems like Elle's daddy isn't happy about what she did.

Who's Daddy?

Ah. "Another question."

Excellent commentary as always. Helped to clear up a few minor points within questions I didn't know I wanted to ask.
