Quote:

Spielberg decried on-air promotions for television shows like "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" that showed "blood and people being dissected." He also said that when his favorite TV show of the new season, NBC's "Heroes," showed someone cut in half in the 9 p.m. hour, he sent his younger children out of the room.

"I'm a parent who is very concerned," he said.

Hey, does anyone remember the opening sequence in Saving Private Ryan? [eyeroll]

In fairness, Saving Private Ryan was a rated R movie, while Heroes is rated TV14. And while there's a few years difference, I can't imagine a 13 year old being called "younger". And anything younger that that shouldn't be watching it anyways according to the ratings.

Heroes is graphic, but shouldn't younger children be in bed at that hour?!

Geez, I think the graphic bits are what make it so realistic and relatable. Heroes is just fine the way it is, IMO.
