?When a change comes, some species feel the urge to migrate. They call it, sukenruha, a pull of the soul to a far off place. Following a scent in the wind, a star in the sky. The ancient message comes, calling the kindred to take flight, and gather together. Only then can they hope to survive the cruel season to come.?

A subway car in New York City. Time has stopped and Peter Petrelli is the only one able to move as if nothing were happening. Peter turns to see a strange man with a sword we come to learn is Hiro Nakamura who has come from the future. Hiro proceeds to tell Peter that he must save the cheerleader, that saving her is the only way to prevent ?it.? Hiro then tells Peter that he must go back to see Isaac, and that he will know. He says that when Hiro calls him he must tell him where they meet. Telling Peter that this is what he?s been waiting for and that he must ?be the one they need? Hiro turns and leaves. Time returns to normal.

The scene then changes to Claire who is laying on a hospital bed being pushed bydoctors in Odessa, Texas. She tells the doctors that she is fine and that she wants to go home. She looks over at Brody who proceeds to call Claire a ?crazy !@#%.?

Las Vegas, Nevada. We join Nathan Petrelli who?s being dragged by Claire?s father and his black friend. When Claire?s father?s cell phone rings Nathan takes this opportunity to run. Kicking and punching the both of them he runs towards a chain link fence and attempts to climb it. The two men chasing him he fails in his attempt and stands before the both of them. Just as the black man tries to do something against Nathan we see him fly up into the sky and blast away.

Back in Las Vegas we now join Niki who?s awoken, rather rudely, by one of Nathan?s advisors. The man accuses Niki of doing something with Nathan, but she doesn?t remember anything. Having had another one of her ?blackouts? she states that she didn?t come here, she left.

Back in New York we see Peter again who is now talking to Mohinder about his encounter with the Hiro from the future. Telling Mohinder that the man somehow froze time. Peter tells him that something bad is going to happen and that they have to save a cheerleader, and go back to Issac?s. Mohinder still doesn?t believe a word Peter says and leaves the subway after saying ?there are no answers.?

Now we look in on Matt?s wife who seems to be having a panic attack because Matt isn?t at home. We find Matt who seems to be waking up after ?drinking too much? on the couch. His wife tells him that he?s been gone for over a day. He tells her that he?s just started working with the FBI. His wife tells Matt just how worried she?s been and he says, ?I didn?t know you cared so much.? Matt listens to her thoughts to hear ?I?m your wife, I always care? and he proceeds to say how she?s barely spoken to him

Outskirts of Las Vegas, Nevada. A van pulls to a stop and Ando and Hiro are thrown out. They see a restaurant and Ando states that he?s not talking to Hiro. Ando states that he got beat up because of Hiro. While Hiro is as cheerful as ever Ando says that this is all Hiro?s fault because he didn?t stop time. Hiro then explains how it was Ando?s idea to stop time and cheat at gambling in the first place. Ando beings complaining and Hiro says that if he?s that miserable to go back to Japan. Ando then says he?s not miserable in America, he?s miserable with Hiro. The two separates and Hiro states that he can ?save the world faster now.? Looking out the window Hiro sees Nathan landing from his trip flying over the desert.

Nathan walks into the same restaurant to points and stares from the customers. He?s still wearing his pyjama pants and is shirtless as well. Hiro seems to be awestruck by Nathan?s presence, amazed that there are others like him.

Back to see Matt we see him ordering two steaks and several side dishes. His wife soon enters asking why he isn?t at work. He then says how he misses her, reading her thoughts he apologises for being lazy, not listening and moping and says he?ll try harder. Then telling his wife they?re both calling in sick he tells her to go put on ?something nice.?

Back with Hiro and Nathan, Hiro approaches Nathan who seems to be a little standoffish. Hiro leans in and whispers that he knows Nathan has powers and tells him he?ll keep it a secret, then tells him that he himself has powers saying that Nathan and himself are both ?special.? Hiro tells Nathan about his trip to the future and the bomb that threatens to destroy New York. His words of comfort are simply ?I?ll stop it? to a sceptical Nathan. Before leaving Nathan asks if he wins the upcoming election and Hiro tells him he does. Before Nathan can leave however, Hiro asks if Nathan can give him a ride and he does.

Back at the hospital with Claire we see her father come in to talk to her. She tells her father that she lied about loosing control of the car, and that she actually crashes it on purpose. He states that she could have killed herself and she replies that she wasn?t thinking about herself. She confesses that she lied to him about the bonfire and then proceeds to tell him how Brody attempted to rape her, also how she woke up somewhere else. She tells him that he?s done this before. Noticing how upset her father is getting she asks him to not say anything, and he tells he that no one is going to know.

Lower Manhattan in Isaac?s loft. Isaac draped in a blanket Peter comes in saying he needs his help. Peter tells him how he flew and that he believes that Isaac can paint the future and goes on to say how Isaac is supposed to have the answer. Isaac tells Peter to look around after Peters says he?s supposed to tell him where to go. After looking around Peter sees the painting of Claire saying ?it?s her, the cheerleader.?

Las Vegas once more we join Nathan and Hiro. Hiro thanks Nathan for the ride and heads back to his own car to find out, he doesn?t know how to drive. Finding instructions he learns that they?re in English.

Still in Las Vegas we see Nathan climbing and escalator, and running into Niki. He trails her down the opposing escalator asking what she did to him. She explains how she woke up in his room and he was gone. After Nathan claims he had one of the best nights of his life Niki states that she?s not the person she was last night, that she wants to be someone good. Nathan comforts her by saying she?s good and she?s the kind of girl you spend your life waiting to meet. Niki then confesses that they blackmailed her and that they were going to blackmail him with the tape that was taken of the two of them the previous night.

Jumping to Matt as he?s pouring wine into two glasses his wife joins him. He shows her the wine he got from a place she?s been wanting to go back to, and two steaks he would pretend to have cooked, lastly he turns on a song she?s had in her head for days. After the two sit she accused Matt of cheating. After apologizing his wife says it?s the best date, the only date, they?ve had in a long time. Matt then raises his glass saying it?s the ?first of many to come.? His wife asks him if he has anything planned for tonight in a sultry voice and he replies with ?I do now.? She straddles him and they begin ?making up? from their past fights.

Back in the hospital, this time in Brody?s room. We see Claire?s father walk in, close the door and draw the curtains and wakes Brody from his sleep. He introduces himself and Brody replies he knows who he is and that he?s going to sue him. Claire?s father apologizes about the ?accident? and Brody replies that it wasn?t an accident and that Claire crashed his car on purpose and that she?s a freak and not human. Claire?s father then informs Brody he knows about the attempt to rape her. Brody replies saying he didn?t touch her and that he ?doesn?t know his daughter? to which Mr. Bennet replies ?I know her better then even she does.? Brody attempts to call the nurse when Mr. Bennet forcefully grips Brody?s mouth, stopping him from screaming. He tells Brody how Claire is special and then offers to rid him of the things he?s done and start a new life. Mr. Bennet pulls back the curtain to reveal a mysterious black man who?s given the order to ?hollow him out? and to ?take everything.? Mr. Bennet leaves and the man closes both the curtains.

Back in Isaac?s loft Peter sets up the paintings to resemble a comic book page. He informs Isaac his paintings are telling a story just like a comic and that each of the characters are trying to save the cheerleader from some unknown danger. He asks Isaac who the cheerleader is and where he could find her to which Isaac simply replies ?I was high.? Peter then states how they are all connected and that Isaac?s paintings are the key to saving them from the bomb. Peter asks Isaac to finish the painting, to no avail, Isaac states that he?s out of drugs and money. Peter stares at the painting and it begins to take a shimmering gleam to it. Peter tells Isaac he saw something in the canvas and that he can finish the painting. Revealing to the painter that after meeting him the first time he drew the future Peter stands before the unfinished painting once more. He closes his eyes as Isaac looks at him with wonder. Opening his eyes Peter?s own have been clouded over, there is no iris or pupil, it as if he is in some kind of trance. Acting in the same fashion he begins to paint.

Claire pays Brody a visit. Apologizing for crashing the car she states that what he attempted to do to her was wrong as well. Brody stares at her and says that he doesn?t know her, Claire tells him who she is and he replies ?Why do you keep calling me Brody??

Back at Niki?s house she sees police and FBI and rushes inside happy to find Micha safe. Tina tells her that they showed up looking for Niki?s husband D.L. One of the officers asks if he had tried to contact Niki within the past few days, Micha responds first telling the officer that his father is innocent. The officer tells Niki that D.L was spotted at a convenience store nearby. Asking why they haven?t caught D.L yet the man replies that they had him in custody but D.L ?pulled a Houdini? and slipped out of his handcuffs. Niki tells the officer firmly that D.L is a killer, and that if he is there then he wants something and she won?t be able to stop him. An officer rings in on the walkie talkie saying they have someone coming headed for the back door. After a moment of rushing around, Ando shows up only to be greeted by several guns.

Once again, back in Vegas with Nathan. He informs Mr. Linderman?s secretary that he?s not happy with the hotel security. He mentions the tape and the woman tells him it is a ?favour he will pay one day.? After an attempt to blackmail him Nathan states the tape is worthless unless he wins. He tells her to just give him his four million dollars and he?ll go back to New York. She says the deal was two million, to which Nathan says that four million makes him a congressman in Linderman?s pocket.

Back with Matt again, he?s kissing his wife after a session of love making. They both trade their ?I love you?s? before Matt goes to get coffee ice cream. In the store Matt riffles through the ice cream tubs and heads to the counter, picking up Aspirin on the way as peoples thoughts keep rushing in and out of his mind. Hearing a man thinking to himself about robbing the place Matt walks behind him and tells him that what?s he?s about to do isn?t worth it. After a heated exchange in dialogue the man pulls his gun out, puts it down and runs out. Picking it up Matt is barraged with people?s thoughts about his holding a gun. He pleads with them saying he?s a cop, but eventually he falls unconscious.

Niki confronts Ando about coming to see her. He tells her that after chatting so much he hoped she would help to which she states that the person she is online isn?t really her. The police ask if she wants to take him in for trespassing and Niki tells them to let him go home. Before he leaves Ando tells her that it was nice to meet her. She goes to see Micha before walking back out into the kitchen, thinking she heard someone. Headed back to her sons room D.L seems to appear from out of the wall she was just standing near.

Joining Hiro we see him tossing his keys up and down, Ando soon comes to join him, saying that they should phone the artist again.

Back at Issac?s loft Peter seems to be out of his trance and he now see the finished painting. A man standing in a lighted doorway, his shadow cast over the dismembered and cranium deprived corpse of Claire. Isaac asks him how he finished the painting to which Peter says he doesn?t know. Isaac finally says that they have to save her. The phone rings and Isaac says to ignore it as it is some Japanese guy calling and leaving messages. Peter rushes to pick up the phone.

Hiro gives Peter his full name

To which Peter replies. ?My name is Peter Petrelli. And I have a message for you.? And the episode ends with 'To be continued...'
