Heroes News : 'Heroes' Graphic Novels Going Off-Line

Most 'Heroes' fans are familiar with the weekly online graphic novels. The graphic novels often help to explain the origins of certain characters or expand on story lines that were merely hinted at or not even mentioned on the television show. Currently the only way to get your grubby paws on the novels was online. That is about to change.

USA Today is reporting that DC Comics has struck a deal to offer the first 43 comic book vignettes in hardcover form. The announcement is slated to be made later today at the San Diego Comic-Con.

In addition to the online strip by artists including Michael Turner, Marcus To, Mitch Gunnell and Phil Jimenez, the book will feature new covers by comic-book superstars Alex Ross and Jim Lee.

For true comics fans, there's also art by Batman and Superman artist Tim Sale, whose prophetic and apocalyptic paintings are used as story devices for many of the show's cliffhangers.
