In the latest issue of TV Guide Tim Kring confirmed what many Heroes fans already believed. Peter's power is not the power of flight, but rather the ability to absorb the power or others around him.

This was hinted at in episode 2 when Peter, after coming into contact with Isaac drew a sketch depicting him flying on top of a building.

Tim Kring also hinted that Peter will be torn between whether to use his power for good or for evil.
